Group Project Square #2

Group Project Square #2 @N.L. Banks 2003

This square uses Elmore-Pisgah's Double Worsted Weight yarn. Use two strands of worsted weight in place of the double.

Row 1: ch 27, 1sc in 2nd chain from hook, and in each ch across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: 1sc in each sc across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: 1sc in first 2sc, * sc in sc 1 row below, 1 sc in next 2sc, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 4 & 5: repeat row 2,

Row 6: 1sc in first 1sc, sc in sc 1 row below, sc in next sc, sc in sc 1 row below, * sc in next 2sc, sc in sc 1 row below, repeat across row, ch 1, turn.

Row 7 & 8: repeat row 2

Repeat from row 3 to 8 for pattern, do 4 repeats, then rows 3,4 and 5 once, fasten off, do edging around. Make 4 or 5 squares.

Size 7 hook
Omegacrys yarn or size 10 thread
Gauge 7 dc = 1 inch

Row 1: Ch 17. Sc in 2 ch and ea ch across, turn (16)

Row 2: Ch 1 Sc in same St and ea St across, turn (16)

Row 3: Sl St in first 7 St. ch 5, dtr in same St, 2dtr in next 3 sts, turn (8)

Row 4: Ch 4. tr in same St, 2 tr in each St across, ch 1 5, turn.

Row 5: Dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in each ch and each st, ch 15, turn

Row 6: Working on bottom side of ch. dc in 2nd ch and next 12 chs, join to bottom of last dc on row 5. Finish off.

Row 7 Join thread in first dc on row 5. ch 2, dc in each St across, turn (44)

Row 8: Ch 2. dc in next 5 sts, dc next 2 sts tog, dc in next 21 sts, turn (43).

Row 9: Ch 2. dc in next 5 sts, dc next 2 sts tog, dc in next 6 sts, dc next 2 tog, dc in next 5 sts, dc next 2 tog., dc in next 5 sts, dc next 2 tog, dc in next 6 sts, dc next 2 tog, dc in next 6 sts, turn. (39)
